My husband Pete has always wanted an antique vehicle and also had a dream of opening an ice cream shop throughout the years. He was always surfing the web looking at antique vehicles or watching the car shows on TV. Then one day he happened to see a Good Humor Ice Cream Truck and he had an epiphany, that he could own an antique vehicle and be an ice cream man, better yet a “Good Humor Ice Cream Man”.
Pete found this truck in Connecticut and it needed a lot of work. We hired a local restoration company Presto Resto who did essentially a ground up restoration. The truck was completed in 21 months and it’s first introduction to the public was at a car show where it took Spectators Choice first prize then onto the Sanford 4th of July Parade where it took a trophy for “Best in Show”!
Pete takes great pride in restoring a true piece of Americana.
